Powder Springs GA | Heating & Cooling

Upon arrival, the homeowner reported that the furnace had ignited briefly on the first cool night but shut off after about a minute and failed to restart. Despite the thermostat signaling for heat, the furnace remained unresponsive. I inspected the furnace, manually running the startup sequence while checking for gas at the burners. The gas valve was receiving the correct voltage but was not opening. I replaced the gas valve assembly, reran the startup sequence, and confirmed proper gas flow and flame establishment on all burners. I conducted multiple heating cycles to ensure everything functioned correctly before concluding the service. The homeowner was relieved to have the issue resolved before temperatures dropped further.

Got a call from a homeowner in Powder Springs. The HVAC system had been short cycling all week and the back bedrooms couldn't get below 78. Inspected the system and found a failing TXV that was restricting refrigerant flow through the evaporator coil and causing the compressor to trip on high pressure. Replaced the valve, verified refrigerant charge and pressures after the swap, and ran extended cooling cycles to confirm stable operation. Every room was reaching set temperature by the end of the visit and the compressor was cycling normally instead of hammering on and off every few minutes.
